In the city there are 37 varieties of proven minerals, of which there are 25 varieties of demonstrated reserves, mainly including coal ,limestone ,silica , kaolin, ,quartz-sand, quartzite, disabuse, dolomite limestone, ordinary clay and magnet, lead and zinc etc.

         Among them the demonstrated  reserves of raw coal is 4,200,000,000tons,the rest of which is coking coal except 100,000,000 tons of weak caking coal, covering  82% of the total reserves of coking coal in the Autonomous Region.

      The future reserves of limestone are 20,000,000,000tons, the total reserves of high-quality quartz-sand and quartzite are 5,000,000,000tons,and the reserves of coal-measure hard kaolin is over 1,000,000,000tons .In the neighborhood there are rich salt, alkali,  reussin and Taixi coal. With big reserves , high quality and good collocation conditions of these minerals, they are the important raw materials in developing the products .of chemical engineering, building materials and high-consumed energy industry.
